Not so sure either of these agreements are really difficult. Sure, mercusor may end up in court, and this one needs to be ratified by the European countries and the Europe Parliament, but let’s be honest that is standard process. Both agreements will most likely be up and running within a year.
Why is this easy but Mercosur is difficult?
AFAIK because the powerful agroindustry lobby in France is against Mercosur, but not against this one.

That’s no secret. The process speed it up because of Trump! Before trumpy , there was no urgency on anyone’s side.
Mercosur is still far from being accepted.
